2. SmackDown Counters Raw’s Debuts With NXT Women Debuts of its Own

Raw’s women’s division got a huge kick in the pants Monday night with the return of Paige and the debut of two other top NXT women’s competitors, but that move gave the red brand much more depth for its women’s division compared to SmackDown’s.

But that all changed last night when the blue brand had the response to Raw’s new additions.  During a backstage promo, Naomi was approached by three NXT women’s competitors in Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan.  The trio acted as if they wanted to shake hands with Naomi, but soon attacked her and Becky Lynch who came in to try and stop them.

The trio’s presence wasn’t done being felt last night when during the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Charlotte Flair and Natalya, they interfered by laying waste to both individuals.  The blue brand now has the added depth that Raw’s women’s division got the night before.

Although many think it was just a ripoff of what Raw did with Paige the night before, it was still cool to see SmackDown get some fresh faces in Riot, Morgan, and Logan.  The trio will certainly leave its mark on the blue brand in the weeks to come.

The women’s division of the WWE as a whole has been shaken up and turned upside down over the course of two days.
