1. Paige is back, but she’s not alone

She’s back.

That’s right, my fellow Brit is back on Raw after over a year sidelined due to injury. Given the fact you’re reading this article, you probably knew Paige’s return was imminent to the point that you could almost hear “Stars in the Night” before it hit the speakers. But then came the real surprise.

Paige wasn’t alone. She arrived on Raw alongside NXT’s Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. The trio beat down Bayley, Sasha Banks and Mickie James while Alicia Fox comically ran away. They then laid out Alexa Bliss, potentially hinting at a babyface turn for the Raw Women’s Champion.

Following the arrival of Raw’s newest heel stable, speculation swirled around the internet about further NXT call-ups on SmackDown. Would Tuesday nights finally become “Iconic”?

Not only were there three more female additions to the main roster from NXT, but SmackDown played host to almost a mirror image of the brutal attack we saw on Raw. This time it was Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan. Riot and Morgan, babyfaces on the WWE’s third brand, broke away from their NXT characters in this villainous beatdown of the SmackDown roster.

Logan’s arrival is somewhat surprising. She arrived on NXT a year ago but only made sporadic TV appearances and was eliminated in the first round of the Mae Young Classic. By debuting on SmackDown, Logan has jumped ahead of tournament winner Kairi Sane, who now holds a premier spot in NXT’s Women’s division.

So what’s next? Are these two heel trios linked? What we do know is that the Women’s division just got a jolt on both shows, and it’ll be interesting to see how it unfolds in the coming weeks.
