The Nov. 28 edition of WWE SmackDown was a compelling show from start to finish with solid storytelling and in-ring work across the board.

WWE SmackDown saw the storyline development of a breakup months in the making as well as the emergence of a tag team title threat.  The show also teased a few other possibilities going forward that could help shakeup Tuesday nights.

As the Clash of Champions pay-per-view approaches, so does the match card for the event and SmackDown has several potential matches lined up.  With that being said, let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the Nov. 28 edition of SmackDown.

5. Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode Getting Heated Up

The Glorious Bobby Roode has made his impact felt on SmackDown since joining the main roster a few months ago.  His feud with Dolph Ziggler was hit or miss, but Roode ultimately got the upper hand and has moved on to bigger and better things, namely the United States Championship.

Baron Corbin has had a hit or miss reign as U.S. Champion, but one way to get his reign back on track would be a feud with The Glorious One.  On the Nov. 21 edition of SmackDown, Corbin and Roode got into an altercation after being lumberjacks in the main event of the night.

That was the first encounter and despite neither competing on last night’s SmackDown, Roode and Corbin had a backstage interview that helped further their newfound feud.  Roode called out Corbin and said he wanted a title match tonight, but Corbin declined and walked away.  It wasn’t much, but it helped further solidify the feud leading into the Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

The WWE universe will all but certainly see Corbin defend his U.S. Championship against Roode at Clash of Champions.  It could be the feud that helps put Roode on the map on the main roster and it could also help Corbin as well by working with a seasoned veteran like Roode.

The Glorious One vs. The Lone Wolf for U.S. gold is on the horizon and if the WWE plays its cards right, this could be a very important feud for both individuals.
