3. The New Day is Reentering the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Picture

There has not been a more over team in the WWE over the past few years as The New Day.  The trio of Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods has been one of greatest trios and tag teams in the WWE in years with their over-the-top characters and colorful ways.

But their defining feud came against The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship for much of 2017.  Although The New Day ultimately came up short, the trio proved it was a world-class team in its own right.  And last night’s SmackDown might suggest that the trio isn’t done with the tag team title picture yet.

In a compelling tag team match with Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, Big E and Woods got the win for The New Day.  While Benjamin and Gable will likely remain in the picture for The Usos’ SmackDown Tag Team Championship, The New Day might have just reentered the equation as well.

With Clash of Champions approaching, the WWE could go the route of a triple threat tag team match featuring all three teams vying for the gold.  And even if The New Day isn’t immediately reinserted in the picture, it certainly won’t be long until it’s back in the saddle of chasing championship gold.

The New Day is one of the best and having the trio in the tag team championship hunt is never a bad idea.
