2. The Hype Bros Breaking Up Was a Long Time Coming
One of the more forgotten teams in the WWE over the past few months has been The Hype Bros. Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder are two charismatic individuals, but in the ever-changing landscape of the WWE, they were beginning to fade into the background.
After weeks of teasing a change of pace, last night’s SmackDown finally saw the culmination of those weeks of teasing. Following another emphatic loss to The Bludgeon Brothers, Mojo had enough losing and made a big impact.
While Ryder was being interviewed, Mojo attacked Ryder from behind and didn’t stop attacking him. The breakup of The Hype Bros had finally come and Mojo’s heel turn could be a defining moment for both superstars moving forward.
Mojo won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33, but he has yet to reap the benefits from it. But by turning heel and breaking up The Hype Bros, he could be in for a heel run that could help his ascent on Tuesday nights. This move could also help Ryder out as a true babyface moving forward.
When the landscape changes, you must change with it and Mojo is following that pattern after his actions last night in breaking up The Hype Bros.
