1. An Edgy Randy Orton is Needed Moving Forward

The Viper Randy Orton is one of the greatest and most decorated WWE superstars of all-time.  He has had a stunning career, but as of late, Orton has not been at the same level the WWE universe was accustomed to seeing him at.

Following an unsuccessful feud with Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship, Orton’s direction went to the wayside.  He was slowly turning into a nostalgia act, but even in defeat, last night showed one way to get Orton back to his old self.

In a no disqualification match with Kevin Owens, Orton showed his true self with vicious kendo stick shots to Owens along with using the steel steps and other items.  The Viper needs to remain edgy moving forward to help recapture the old Viper.  And if you think back, Orton’s best moments in the WWE have come when he was a heel.

He doesn’t necessarily have to be a heel to be edgy, but turning Orton heel would put him back in his comfort zone.  If nothing else, just have him be an edgier babyface.  Some superstars are just better in a certain role, and Orton is at his best in a heelish, edgy role.
