8. The Vaudevillains

The Vaudevillains had a very old school gimmick that they brought up to the main roster after WrestleMania 32. Simon Gotch and Aiden English failed to really connect with the audience and got relegated to the bottom of the card almost immediately.

When they were drafted to SmackDown Live, they were rarely featured on television, and if they were, they would be beaten in under five minutes. So, they really did not contribute much and did not appear on PPV after the brand split until WrestleMania 33.

At WrestleMania, the Vaudevillains partook in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and that match would actually be Simon Gotch’s last with the WWE. WWE sent out a statement to the public shortly after WrestleMania saying that Gotch had been released.

So, while it was not a storyline breakup, The Vaudevillains were officially over after the release of Gotch, and English was left to fend for himself as a singles competitor.

This breakup is ranked the worst because it seemed no one really cared about this team to begin with, and there was no payoff or big split between the two. English just went from a tag team to a singles performer without any explanation. At least this breakup brought us some songs about Rusev Day.
