4. Charlotte Trying To Survive

It was not a great week for the women of SmackDown that weren’t part of the newly named Riott Squad. Natalya did not want any piece of them in their 6 Women Tag Team match and left her partners Naomi and Charlotte early on in the match. But it did not stop there,

Charlotte was left to fend for herself after Naomi was brutally taken out. Charlotte kept fighting and showed a lot of spirit while the three new additions to SmackDown showed a lot of force. Our SmackDown Women’s Champion is proving she deserves that title, and is not giving up her title or anything else without a big fight against the Riott Squad.

Since her move from Raw to SmackDown, Charlotte has transitioned nicely to a face and is playing her role extremely well. After such a successful heel run, there were doubts whether she could pull off playing a face. With her natural talents and some good booking it has worked. She is the right woman to lead the charge against the new foes and she certainly proved that this week. She took them on by herself and didn’t give up. The numbers became too much and she wasn’t going to overcome the team but they do have a huge fight if they want to break The Queen.

The next few weeks should be interesting, Charlotte is clearly a main target but where do Tamina, Lana and Carmella stand? Will she turn to them or is she going to continue at it alone? Will Becky play a role some how? Stay tuned …
