Injuries

Balor is the key topic here when it comes to injuries.  In 2016, Balor was one of NXT’s most successful talents.  It was clear upon his debut on Raw that the company had big plans for him.  Balor would make it to SummerSlam, where he would be crowned the first Universal Champion.  During the match, the injury bug struck Balor, injuring his shoulder.  Balor ended up having to surrender the Championship and quietly walked away to heal and recover from the untimely injury.

While Balor had been out, the show went on and his momentum was inevitably ceased.  Balor returned the night after WrestleMania, but he has started from the bottom of the totem pole.  Balor can be a monumental money maker for the company, he certainly is over enough.  He has a one of a kind gimmick and big with kids.

Speaking of kids, Bayley was most certainly one Superstar that connects well with kids.  Not only has Bayley suffered from booking, but she too suffered an injury after her reign as Raw Women’s Champion.  One instance that bothers me is that when she feuded with Alexa Bliss, there was focus on the fact that Bayley couldn’t find the will to get to the extreme level.  It led to her downfall as Raw Women’s Champion.

However come Survivor Series, all of a sudden she’s part of the Raw Women’s match attacking the Smackdown women on the last Smackdown before the PPV.  I need to know how she found that part of herself.  It’s called developing storylines, evolution, and concentration.  Ultimately, one can decipher that her injury could be a reason her momentum was halted.  Thus this detour for Bayley resulted in the lack of reasoning in connecting the two storylines together.
