2. SmackDown Tag Team Championship Picture is On a Roll

Ever since The Usos and The New Day were tearing the house down for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship throughout much of 2017, the blue brand’s tag title picture has been stellar.  But as of late, it’s becoming even more stellar.

With the emergence of new teams in the fold, the tag title picture is becoming as strong as it has ever been on SmackDown since last summer’s initial brand split.  Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable were set to battle The Usos for the gold, but the reemergence of The New Day in the picture has added excitement.  The same can be said for one of the most popular teams going in the entire WWE.

Rusev and Aiden English have become a very entertaining and refreshing duo to look forward to every Tuesday night, and last night showed they are on the path to becoming tag team champions.  After defeating The New Day on the Dec. 5 edition of SmackDown, Rusev and English followed it up by defeating the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos last night to gain even more momentum heading into Clash of Champions.

Not to mention, each team had great moments on the mic last night before that match took place.  Simply put, these teams are on fire right now and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship scene is reaping the benefits.  And there’s still a legitimate question as to which team will walk out of Clash of Champions with the gold.

No matter which team becomes victorious, the SmackDown Tag Team Championship picture is the highest it has been in years and the possibilities are endless moving forward.
