4. Tye Dillinger Disrupts The United States Title Match

Ok, so this one is really outside the box. After not being on television for well over two months, “The Perfect 10” would be a welcome sight back in to the United States title picture. After all, he was right in the heart of it before going off television as he battled AJ Styles and future and current champion, Baron Corbin. And since then, although it hasn’t been televised, Dillinger has been active, wrestling 23 times (cagematch.net) on various dark matches and house shows signifying that he’s healthy and ready to compete on a bigger stage. So an appearance by Dillinger to either disqualify the match or attack the victor would be a big surprise, albeit a nice one.

And let’s be honest here. This United States title feud, although in his infancy stages, is boring. Corbin doesn’t exactly scream charisma and for some head-scratching reason, Dolph Ziggler has been injected into it just weeks after ending a terrible program with the third man involved, Bobby Roode. And if Ziggler’s inclusion in to this match is just so he can eat a pin so Roode and Corbin can look strong, that’s a shame. Ziggler has earned more than that at this point and shouldn’t be the victim to blatantly repetitive booking.

Dillinger is exactly what this program needs. Any combination of the three scheduled for this match moving forward in a one on one feud sounds painful. Now the question is how to bring him back. Heel? Baby face? Dillinger is talented enough to do either. But I’ll make a bet that as long as something shocking like this happens, it’ll endear Tye to the fans and could possibly make him the breakout star so many people think he can be.
