2. Riott Squad Causes Havoc; Carmella Cashes In

Since debuting on the Nov. 21 SmackDown, The Riott Squad has been running roughshod over the blue brand’s women’s division. However, on the final show before Clash of Champions, the division got some revenge as first Naomi returned and stopped their assault on Charlotte Flair by force. And just when it looked like the attack was over, the trio was jumped on the stage by Lana, Tamina, and Carmella, their Lumberjill counterparts for Sunday’s Women’s title match between Flair and Natalya. Because of all of this, this match may turn into chaos very quickly, and leave a perfect opportunity for “The Princess of Staten Island” to finally cash in the briefcase she’s had since June.

Now, I’ll be honest. I’ve predicted that Carmella was going to cash-in at pretty much every blue brand pay per view since she’s won the case. I’m officially committed to the prediction and I’m going to stick to it until I’m correct. And on paper at least, this lines up perfectly. The Riott Squad has made clear their intentions, and that’s to decimate the entire blue brand’s women’s roster. They’ve already put Naomi and Becky Lynch out through heavy amounts of violence and they’ve even put the hurt on Charlotte as well. This thing is going to get nasty.

Now, a Carmella cash-in won’t be due to collusion between she and The Riott Squad. The four of them getting together as one makes zero sense. But it’s very easy to see a scenario where Riott, Logan, and Morgan get the upper-hand and lay out Charlotte post-match leaving an opportunity for Carmella to get the job done. It’s been long enough for Carmella and now with James Ellsworth out of the picture it’s time to get her the long awaited title reign she’s been waiting for. It probably won’t last long, but Carmella’s title reign starts Sunday night.
