3. Jinder Mahal’s Desperate Tricks Could Come Back to Haunt Him

If the common WWE fan would have said at the beginning of the year that Jinder Mahal would have a six-month WWE Championship reign, most would have thought that fan was crazy.  But the WWE showed how far it would go to surprise its fans by doing just that.

Mahal won the championship at Backlash before losing the title to The Phenomenal AJ Styles on the Nov. 7 edition of SmackDown.  Since that time, the Modern Day Maharaja has been obsessed with trying to get the championship back from Styles.

His rematch will come this Sunday at Clash of Champions, but will Mahal’s recent tendencies end up costing him in the long run?  His on-screen character has been desperate to get the upper hand over The Phenomenal One, but has often failed.  A glaring example of this came on the most recent edition of SmackDown.

Despite Mahal laying out Styles backstage later in the night, he went as far as to try to get The Singh Brothers to convince Styles they weren’t with Mahal anymore.  Even though his intentions were to get ahead of Styles, these failed techniques could be foreshadowing how the Modern Day Maharaja’s match will end up at Clash of Champions.

Many have clamored for Mahal to finally be out of the WWE Championship picture, and Sunday might give those fans the satisfaction of the company moving on to bigger and better things.
