SmackDown Live Teams

Picking the teams for SmackDown Live is a lot easier than picking for Raw because there are already two real life couples in the mix. So, naturally, Rusev would be teaming up with his wife, Lana, and Jimmy Uso would be teaming up with his wife, Naomi.

Having those two teams would probably make for some good footage as all four of them are heavily featured on Total Divas, so it would make sense to pair them up and get them some exposure.

After taking care of the real life couples, that is when fantasy matchmaking comes into play, and the first pair that comes to mind is Charlotte and Bobby Roode. Both are robe wearing high profile wrestlers whose gimmicks mesh really well together. So The Queen and The Glorious One will probably take on the Mixed Match Challenge together.

Next, we have to take care of a team that the internet wrestling community has been dreaming of ever since they were both on the main roster. That would be the combination of fiery redheads known as Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn. I mean, those two together just seems right…right?

The last two teams start to get tricky because the eccentric Shinsuke Nakamura is in his own world when it comes to personality, and we don’t even know which member of The New Day will be voted in the last spot. If I had to guess, though, I’d say Big E wins the spot because of how goofy and loud and over he is with casual fans.

So, the best partner for a dancing Big E would be a former dancer. Carmella, being a former Lakers dancer who has a pretty silly personality when she isn’t a heel, would be a perfect partner for Big E in the tournament.

That leaves, by default, the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya. These two are pretty different, but the odd couple gimmick could end up providing a lot of laughs and a lot of fun spots.

Anything could happen in this tournament, but I have a feeling this will, more or less, be the teams for SmackDown Live in the Mixed Match Challenge.

Teams: Bobby Roode & Charlotte Flair, Sami Zayn & Becky Lynch, Rusev & Lana, Jimmy Uso & Naomi, Big E & Carmella, Shinsuke Nakamura & Natalya
