WWE: Ranking Every Pay Per View in 2017 From Worst to Best

6. Great Balls of Fire
Despite its name being criticized, the first-ever Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view turned out to be one of the best pay-per-view showings from the WWE this year. This event saw some unique elements that the WWE universe didn’t get to see at any other pay-per-view.
Great Balls of Fire featured several noteworthy matches, but none bigger than Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman’s Ambulance Match that resulted in an Attitude Era-like backstage segment where Reigns backed the ambulance into a semi-truck with Strowman in the back of the ambulance. Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe had a hard-hitting, albeit short, Universal Championship match as well.
The Hardy Boyz vs. The Bar in a 30-Minute Iron Man match was a very good battle as well, along with pretty solid matches between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt and Sasha Banks against Alexa Bliss. There was really only one match at the pay-per-view that is viewed as subpar.
Big Cass vs. Enzo Amore did absolutely nothing to add anything to a stellar card. But if you strip away that match and maybe a couple other matches that weren’t necessarily outstanding, Great Balls of Fire is one of the most stellar pay-per-views the WWE has put forth in 2017.
It could easily be in the top 5 pay-per-views of 2017, but Great Balls of Fire just misses and sits as the sixth best pay-per-view of 2017.
