WWE: Ranking Every Pay Per View in 2017 From Worst to Best

8. TLC
No pay-per-view in 2017 had as much unexpectedness than the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view. Two of Raw’s top stars in Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns were set to compete at TLC, but illnesses changed the plans of two of TLC’s top matches.
With Wyatt scheduled to face The Demon Finn Balor, he was replaced with SmackDown’s AJ Styles, which set up a marquee dream match of sorts that turned out to be one of the better matches of the year. Reigns’ absence at TLC opened the door for the WWE in-ring return of Kurt Angle, who joined Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in an over-the-top match against The Miz, Braun Strowman, Kane, and The Bar.
The match saw a little bit of everything and served its purpose well. There was also a solid tag team match featuring 205 Live stars and the event saw the in-ring main roster debut of Asuka. Certain matches, however, brought the show down a couple notches.
Jason Jordan vs. Elias did nothing and Enzo Amore vs. Kaliso did even less. Despite a couple shortcomings, TLC turned out to be a pretty solid pay-per-view that ended up seeing a couple major additions with Angle and Styles joining the picture.
The lack of use of tables, ladders, and chairs as a whole could have been better, but the show itself turned out arguably better than it could have been initially.
