Raw is Jericho

Chris Jericho hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since last summer.  Also, he was on Smackdown Live, feuding with Kevin Owens before finishing up his WWE run.  In this special instance, Jericho can serve as a “free agent”, granting him the opportunity to appear on either show.  Of course, Raw is Jericho indeed, and his appearance on the anniversary show would be huge.

Here is why:  Jericho shocked every single wrestling fan in 2017 with his groundbreaking challenge to a match with Kenny Omega at WrestleKingdom.  It is known that Jericho does specific contracts due to his commitments with other endeavors such as his band Fozzy.  Plus, WrestleKingdom is happening January 4th, two and a half weeks before the anniversary show.  Do you see where I am going with this?

Having Jericho just show up on Raw after the match with Omega will be huge.  Whether it is a one-night only gig or something building up to the Rumble, WWE can’t go wrong with having Jericho appear on the show.  It’s just the idea of having Jericho on the show days after working WrestleKingdom will drive fans wild with possibilities of Omega and other New Japan stars.  It is doubtful that a cross-promotion will be happening this soon, but one can dream.

Fozzy doesn’t start touring until the end of January, which expands upon the idea of Jericho making a special appearance on Raw’s 25th anniversary show.  Currently, it is unknown whether he may have some other appearances set up for New Japan, but don’t rule out possible WWE appearances as well.  If we can’t have Jericho for WrestleMania this year, we’ll settle for the 25th anniversary show.  Bring it on, man.
