2. It Will Set Up A WrestleMania Match With Charlotte

Charlotte Flair has stated that she dreams of seeing a women’s singles match at WrestleMania, irrelevant of whether or not it involves her directly. She isn’t alone in this wish either, because fans everywhere understand how important legitimate singles feuds, including those over the main title, are for actually revolutionizing women’s wrestling. Portraying women’s wrestlers, their titles, and their feuds as being equal to the men’s versions is critical, and finally having a big singles match at WrestleMania would be a step in the right direction.

Although Charlotte says that she doesn’t necessarily have to be in the match and hasn’t given away anything about wanting to face Becky in particular, it would make plenty of sense. They are best friends in real life, they have plenty of history together, and it almost seems inevitable that Charlotte will turn heel on her. As Ric Flair said himself, Charlotte is even better as a heel than as a face.

On top of this, because of Ric’s health issues, it would be nice for the WWE to help Charlotte have a big singles match for the title at WrestleMania. She’s more than earned it, and the same goes for Becky. There’s no guarantee that Charlotte would remain the champion up until WrestleMania, but it’s a good bet, especially since SmackDown doesn’t like to hot potato the women’s title. And in this case, taking the strap away from Charlotte would be especially unwise.

We’ve been hoping for Becky vs. Charlotte for quite some time, and there has to be  a reason why both of these competitors are on the same brand. They know each other well, they’ve been together in great matches before, and this feud would be befitting of a singles match for the title at ‘Mania.
