WWE WrestleMania 34: 5 Possible Women’s Singles Matches
Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka
Asuka is probably THE favorite to have a big match at WrestleMania, because she is portrayed as the most dominant competitor in the women’s division. It makes sense, because she is a special talent and is undefeated. She puts on great matches every night, and she deserves to be the main attraction in the women’s division.
But before Asuka was called up, the biggest star in either women’s division was Alexa Bliss, who has the longest combined days as women’s champion. Bliss was also the first woman to win the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships. She’s consistently improved in the ring with each passing PPV match, and nobody in their right mind would ever question her ability to cut a top-tier promo.
Bliss hasn’t dropped the Raw Women’s Championship yet, and the WWE has ostensibly been saving her for Asuka. While it would make more sense for Bliss to lose the title to Asuka before the Rumble – or at least before WrestleMania – what if the WWE keeps holding off what is seemingly inevitable?
No, this isn’t advisable, but they could do it. While it would be hard to believe that Bliss can hang with Asuka in the ring based on how both of them are portrayed as competitors, the WWE did let Bliss come a whisker away from defeating the almost as dominant Charlotte Flair in a champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series.
