The American Nightmare: Cody

Cody has been on an astronomical rise since his departure from the WWE.  He is one of the very few success stories in the area of making it without the machine.  Cody decided to take a gamble on himself and his ability and the bet is paying off greatly.  Making his Wrestle Kingdom debut last year, the former Rhodes has found himself in a sweet spot this year.

After ascending the ranks and carving out his role as the US face of the Bullet Club, Cody is set to take on Kota Ibushi. The match will be a great test for Cody as Ibushi is one of the best wrestlers in the world today.  Cody will look to make sure the Bullet Club gets a tally in the win column.

Cody will have a major spotlight on him due to the fact that he is the guy that spurned the WWE.  In the world these days, unfortunately, there may be as many eyes on this match to see whether Cody will succeed or fail.  If the last year of his career has been any indication, “The Star that left them in the Dust,” will be successful.
