The Cleaner: Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega has been setting the wrestling world on fire for the better part of the last two years. It hasn’t mattered who has been standing across the ring from him, the matches have been phenomenal.  The leader of the Bullet Club has answered the call each and every time the phone has rung.

The Cleaner has taken NJPW to the next level in 2017, between his epic trilogy with Okada and winning the IWGP US Title, it’s been a great year. Kenny has shown time and time again that on the biggest stage when the eyes are on him, he brings his A game.

At Wrestle Kingdom he steps into the ring with one of the best to ever lace a pair of boots, Chris Jericho.  Y2J is making his shock return to NJPW after a 20-year absence.  Though the match is for Omega’s IWGP US Championship, it’s safe to say pride may be the bigger prize. Both men hail from Winnipeg, and there is definitely a hometown rivalry at the root of the clash.

With Omega being the face of the United States expansion for NJPW, it’s important for him to retain at Wrestle Kingdom.  With the ability to speak both English and Japanese fluently, Omega is a major player for NJPW in their future plans home and abroad.
