WWE: 5 Superstars Who Could Win First World Title In 2018

No. 3: Sami Zayn
There has been no WWE superstar in 2017 that flourished in a complete character metamorphosis like Sami Zayn. He started the year as a giddy underdog looking for an opportunity to prove himself in the WWE. He was becoming stale and heading down a one-way trek towards mid-card purgatory.
Then, when he saved his buddy Kevin Owens from getting obliterated through a table, Zayn found himself in the middle of the hottest feud in the WWE.
In the process, he transformed into an arrogant bad guy and was given the opportunity to show off his excellent mic work.
If his character remains over, he should win his first world title. He’s proven trustworthy to hold the mic in a main event feud. He’s a superb wrestler as well.
Giving him the WWE Heavyweight championship opens up new doors for the Smackdown main event picture. He can feud against talented in-ring faces like Styles and Nakamora. He’s a perfect candidate for when they decide to give Bobby Roode a shot at the title. In the Superstar Shakeup, he could be a world champion to battle guys like Seth Rollins or Finn Balor (please).
After a few years of being the happy babyface proving himself in the WWE, Zayn has shown that it’s his time to shine.
