No. 2: Samoa Joe

It’s hard to say the WWE has had a monster like Samoa Joe. He has the monster heel look that intrigues Vince McMahon, but he does so much more than being a larger-than-life force.

For a big man, Samoa Joe is a solid wrestler. He’s also one of the best superstars on the mic. He’s also a ruthless superstar who’s done nothing but establish himself as a force in the WWE. His finisher is absolutely unbreakable.

When Samoa Joe debuted, he showed great chemistry with Seth Rollins and came across as a dominant beast. During the four-way Summerslam feud between him, Lesnar, Strowman and Reigns, he looked like a legitimate threat to the “Beast.”

People might have thought that his time off would’ve set him back in crowded main event picture. However, he looks like the best superstar on the Raw roster right now.

His feud with Roman Reigns and the Shield solidifies his main-event draw. He’s been unbelievable on the mic. He’s been a best in the ring. Combine that and his size, and you have a bonafide world title contender.

Once Lesnar drops the Universal title to either Strowman or Reigns — because it’s completely inevitable — Samoa Joe should be the first challenger in line as he’s the only credible threat to either man.

It’s almost a matter of time before he holds the Universal championship.
