The inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble will follow the same rules as the men’s Royal Rumble and will have one winner, so who will it be?

Some of the main concerns that fans had when it was announced that WWE would host the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match at this year’s Royal Rumble PPV involved the rules and ramifications of the match.

Some thought that the match would be undermined by rules that would make it seem like the women’s match is less important than the men’s by having the rules be through the rope for an elimination rather than over the ropes or having 15-20 entrants opposed to 30.

Well, our questions have been answered, and 30 women will enter the Royal Rumble match for a chance to challenge for a Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34. After 29 others have been eliminated by being tossed OVER the top rope, one will be standing with their ticket to WrestleMania.

Well, since there are about 20 active women on the main roster and 30 entrants in the Rumble match, we will undoubtedly see some debuts and returns during the match. This means that the Road to WrestleMania is open to just about any woman this year.

Who will be the one to win the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble? Well…let’s just hope it isn’t James Ellsworth.
