WWE Royal Rumble 2018: 5 Potential Entrants At No. 30

4. Roman Reigns
Reigns entered 30th in last year’s Royal Rumble, much to the consternation of the San Antonio crowd. He lasted only five minutes before Randy Orton eliminated him to win the match. With Reigns supposedly pegged to unseat Brock Lesnar as WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania, he has to be a favorite to win his second Rumble in the same city where he won his first.
It remains to be seen if Reigns receives the same showering of boos that he got three years prior.
If Reigns indeed punches his ticket to the ‘Mania main event via the Rumble, he’ll probably do so as a late entrant. Historically, Reigns has usually entered during the first half of the match. He entered 15th in the 2014 Rumble and broke Kane’s record for single match eliminations.
In 2015, he entered 19th and won the whole thing. The next year, Reigns defended his WWE Title in the Rumble as the number one entrant. With Reigns’ ascent up the card, I don’t expect him to enter any earlier than 20th.
Reigns entering 30th might be a bit of a stretch unless WWE feels the need to troll their audience like they did last year. I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance Reigns enters last this year.
