1. Samoa Joe
No man made more impact on Monday night than Samoa Joe. If you ask why, then I’ll tell you. He defeated the Man Beast Rhyno in dominant fashion. While that is nowhere near an accomplishment as flipping the set on to Brock Lesnar, Joe’s post-match promo was all about getting things done.
Joe would announce his entry into the Royal Rumble. Before ending the night, he would add that he has broken Roman Reigns and that now he would do the same to John Cena. It is nice to see the WWE acknowledge the proverbial passing of the torch history between Cena and Reigns. It is also nice to see Joe refer the same and mark Cena as his next target. Just like Lesnar Vs Samoa Joe, Cena Vs Joe is one dream match we’ve all wanted all along.
Moreover, Joe proclaiming to eliminate Cena from the Rumble adds another layer of intrigue. Now we will all be looking forward to whether he managed to do the same at Rumble. A Royal Rumble match becomes more interesting when it has subplots and layers with multiple feuds. Cena Vs Joe is a good place to start. Throw in some more rivalries into the mix and this year’s Rumble could be a memorable one.
