WWE Raw Power Rankings: The Miz Is Back And Just As Awesome
5. Alexa Bliss
Although it was strange seeing Alexa Bliss face Asuka in a non-title match on Raw last week, especially since the only outcome possible was a clean loss for Five Feet of Fury, the pieces are starting to fall in place. Bliss’s time as Raw Women’s Champion is likely coming to a close, but she’s had a lengthy run at the top without a shadow of a doubt.
Bliss is clearly desperate and fears Asuka, but she’s too smart and proud to ever let that show. So instead of moping about, complaining to Kurt Angle, or doing any number of unhelpful but potentially satisfying heelish acts, Bliss decided to get some help from her old pal Nia Jax.
There’s no doubt that Bliss is one of the best manipulators in WWE, and she started by sweet-talking Nia. She showed concern for Nia’s love interest, Enzo Amore, and she started to praise Nia both as a friend and as a dominant competitor in WWE.
There’s speculation within the WWE Universe that Bliss could drop the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka before the Royal Rumble, and some are wondering if this title change could happen on Raw 25. That could protect Asuka from a Rumble loss and allow the winner of the Rumble to be Asuka’s marquee opponent at WrestleMania 34.
But nothing is set in stone, and Bliss is still the Goddess of WWE. So just remember that.
