WWE Rumors: Cedric Alexander vs. Enzo Amore At Royal Rumble 2018?

Enzo Amore and Cedric Alexander are feuding over the Cruiserweight Championship, and it looks like the two could face off at the WWE Royal Rumble 2018.

We’ve known for a long time that it’s Cedric Alexander’s time to shine in the WWE Cruiserweight Division, because the man is simply one of the best in the company right now. Whenever he’s on 205 Live, he manages to shine, and Alexander is one of the few people who can make a standard babyface vs. heel filler tag match interesting.

The match doesn’t start to pick up until he tags in, and the support for him is understandable. After all, he is one of the best hot tags around, and his move-set is as electrifying as it is damaging. I mean, look no further than his finishing maneuver- the Lumbar Check.

This week on Raw, Alexander finally had his chance at the Cruiserweight Championship, and he defeated Enzo Amore. The problem is that he defeated Enzo by count-out, as an injured Amore opted to avoid getting back inside the ring and live to see another day as champ.

Amore’s days as the Cruiserweight Champion are numbered, and he could even lose the title at WWE Royal Rumble 2018.

Cageside Seats’s “Rumor Roundup” has a nugget stating that Enzo and Alexander are expected to square off at the Rumble.

While nothing is set in stone, this would make plenty of sense. The WWE has already scheduled WWE Championship, Universal Title, and two Tag Team Title matches for the Rumble, so why not throw the Cruiserweight Title in there, too?

Last year, we saw the Cruiserweight Championship change hands at the Rumble, as Rich Swann dropped the title to Neville, who would go on to be by far the greatest Cruiserweight Champion.

If Alexander wins the title, could he eventually be regarded as an even better champion than Neville? Hopefully, we get a chance to find out.
