The Miz is back on Monday nights and all is right in the world again. One of the best talkers on the roster, his absence paved the way for other heels like Elias and Samoa Joe to take center stage. But you can’t argue that Miz is one of the most organic heels out there. His ability to generate heat despite a vocal portion of the crowd wanting to cheer for him is outstanding.

This week, after returning to live TV, the Miz wasted little time in recalling the atrocities the Shield did to him. He then promised to take the IC title away from him and create history. As per Raw general manager Kurt Angle, Miz will get his shot at the 25th anniversary edition of WWE Raw. So, the big question is, will he manage to land another title win?

Roman Reigns’s IC title challenges have been fun. But the Miz has done a better job of making the IC title feel like a prestigious item. Reigns is all about proving to the WWE universe that he is head and shoulders above the rest of the pack. The sole purpose of his challenge is to show us that he can retain his title against any and all challengers.

However, the Miz is different in this regard. The narrative of his title reigns is dictated by his desire to hold on to the Gold at any cost. The extent to which he will go to keep the title on his shoulders make it seem special. Moreover, let’s be honest. With Royal Rumble lurking around and WrestleMania season right around the corner, Reigns is bound to move on to the Universal title picture soon.
