1. Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Naka…OMG RKO!

I’m gonna level with you, the idea of sitting through another boring Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin match did little to excite me. However, the two managed to top their previous outings–though the bar wasn’t that high. However, I’m not here to talk about this match. No, ladies and gentlemen, I’m here to talk about this…

Why should I spend my time talking about a match that I forgot about an hour after it happened when I can gush over this RKO from Randy Orton. The camera work was perfect here–it focused on Nakamura as he prepared to dislodge Corbin’s jaw with a Kinshasa. As “The King of Strong Style” charged in, Orton slinked into the picture and dropped him with an RKO. Corbin also ate one for his trouble, but it paled in comparison to the first one.

Hopefully, this means that Orton won’t win the Royal Rumble on Sunday. His win last year felt like a boring rerun, so going back to him would be a mistake. WWE habitually books things like this as a red herring so Orton’s latest RKO spree hopefully means he will come up short in Philly.

Orton’s elimination should be easy to book: he enters and RKO’s a bunch of mid-carders before Nakamura or Corbin eliminate him to gain a measure of revenge. In any event, Orton provided D.C. with a memorable moment and another in a long line of RKO’s “outta nowhere”.
