Wrestling: 6 Things We Want To See At ‘All In’ Event
Major Titles on the Line
Considering the potential of so many independent wrestling stars coming together for this “indie super show”, I think it’s likely that a handful of prestigious titles will be on the line. As of the time of this writing, The Young Bucks are the current IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions so I’d expect them to defend their titles if they still have them come September 1.
The same goes for Kenny Omega and his IWGP US Title. A lot could change and we know there are plenty more names to be added to “All In” so we could likely see IWGP, ROH, and other top indie titles on the line at this show.
Title matches will just be a cherry on the top of this cake and add even more interest to an already incredibly interesting show.
Cody Rhodes vs. Kenny Omega
Speaking of titles being on the line at this show… Wouldn’t it be great to see Omega put his IWGP US Heavyweight Title up for grabs against Cody at “All In”?
This match is going to happen. I don’t know if “All In” will be where it takes place but I can’t think of a better show for them to have their first one-on-one match. There has been speculation of this eventual showdown ever since Cody joined the Bullet Club back in December of 2016. The story being that Bullet Club isn’t big enough for the two of them.
If it was up to me, I would have The Young Bucks side with Cody during the eventual split. This would leave Cody as the official leader of Bullet Club and Kenny would be on his own as a full-fledged babyface going forward.
Promoting this match should be no problem considering all of the exposure this feud will get across platforms like NJPW, ROH, and the popular Being The Elite YouTube series. Watching it build up and play out between now and September could be some really entertaining and intriguing stuff, not to mention that the match itself has the potential to be an instant classic.
If this match does indeed happen, I would expect it to be the main event of the show. With Kenny as the babyface, I think we would see him get the better of Cody to send the fans home happy.
