Bryan Danielson

“When is Daniel Bryan going to wrestle again?” is probably the most-asked question among pro wrestling fans. Listening to Bryan on various podcasts as well as WWE programming, it’s clear that the man wants to get back in the ring and do what he truly loves – wrestle.

We all know the story by now.  Bryan forced into early retirement in February 2016 due to a long history of concussions. WWE doctors made the judgement call to no-longer clear Bryan as an in-ring competitor. Since then, he’s been cleared to multiple doctors outside of the WWE and has done extensive rehabilitation and testing to insure that he’s good to go.

Bryan’s rehabilitation has put WWE in a tricky position because his contract with the company expires in September of this year. This means that WWE doctors either have to clear Bryan to wrestle again or he’s going to go do it elsewhere.

Bryan has stated that he’d prefer to stay with WWE and we’re even seeing more hints recently that he might be getting worked back into the mix. His current storyline on SmackDown heavily implies that Bryan is set to return to in-ring action in the near future.

This wish seems like a long-shot because I expect Bryan to stay with WWE but the timing of his contract expiration and this “All In” show cannot be ignored. Bryan even teased fans yesterday with some back-and-forth on Twitter with Bullet Club member, Marty Scurll (who is confirmed to be appearing at this show).

With Bryan currently involved in a major SmackDown storyline that is teasing his in-ring return, we’ll have to see how things play out of him in the WWE. He could very well stay there and resume his wrestling career. But if WWE ultimately does not clear him, I honestly think that “All In” has the potential to sell out because of the in-ring return of the “American Dragon” alone.
