2. Was the ending of Raw 25 an indication of Finn Balor’s future?

Now, am being optimistic here. Amidst rumors of Vince McMahon not believing Balor was ‘over’ enough with the fans, and his Royal Rumble title match with Brock Lesnar being cancelled, last week was a fresh sight. The new year has been kind to Balor to be precise. After aligning with Gallows and Anderson to form the Balor Club for real in the WWE, Balor has been climbing up the ranks steadily.

We have seen creative give him more air time and he is being featured in any way they can. Raw 25 was the cherry on top of the cake as the leader of the Balor Club shared the ring with perhaps the greatest group in the history of Raw. Simply put, the moment was ‘too sweet’. If one were to go deeper into the symbolic meaning of all of it, here was the man who was rumored to be not on the best side of Vince McMahon.

Yet, here he was, standing side by side with the next generation of backstage controllers, one among them, the man who built NXT from the ground up. Balor’s hand was raised in a show of respect and appreciation by none other than the Game. Perhaps, this was creative’s way of yelling at the top of their lungs that no, they have not given up on the Balor Club. The rightful owner of the Universal title has not been forgotten yet.

If this is any indication, Finn Balor will go after the Universal title he never lost, and probably reclaim it in the near future. For the time being, it seems like we are still on course for Reigns vs Lesnar at Mania. but more on that in the next slide.
