Predicting the winners and losers of Saturday’s WWE NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia
If you’re a fan of pure, unadulterated professional wrestling, then you must be a fan of NXT. Because the superstars of Full Sail University seem to prove night in and night out that not only are they some of the best talent in the WWE, but some of the best in-ring performers in the entire industry. In the five TakeOver shows in 2017, which by the way is 11 less pay per views than the main roster had in the calendar year, NXT’s best proved over and over again why they’re the superior brand to RAW or SmackDown Live. As a point of reference, if you’d like to check out my top 20 WWE matches of 2017, you’ll see that 11 took place at NXT events. With only a quarter of the amount of exposure the main roster has, that’s impressive.
Saturday’s TakeOver: Philadelphia should undoubtedly continue that trend. With three title matches on the docket along with an extreme rules match and an appearance from the ever evolving Velveteen Dream, the card has heavy potential. And with the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania looming which essentially signifies the end of the WWE calendar year, the results of these matches may have a serious impact for a number of NXT superstars.
Ahead we predict the winners and losers for Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.
