#2. Someone new to win the Royal Rumble

The announced Superstars for the Royal Rumble match contain a fair few names that have had success at the event in the past such as Roman Reigns (who hasn’t actually been officially announced, but is almost definitely in it), John Cena and Randy Orton.

Currently Reigns is the favourite to win the whole match, with Cena and Orton also fairly likely to add an additional Royal Rumble win to their extensive list of accomplishments. But what if they don’t?

What if, when all thirty competitors have entered the match, and we know that one of the men still in the ring is going to win it, none of those men have ever won a Royal Rumble match before. Meaning that we’re guaranteed a new first-time winner!

You’d then end up with the same buzz you get in elimination matches when the current champion is eliminated and fans then know that a new champion is being crowned. Something like that would help create suspense and excitement and also generate more unpredictability

Say you have a final four of Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Dolph Ziggler and Elias you’d know that one of these Superstars would be about to get a main event push and huge Wrestlemania match, which would make it better when one of them does win.
