Elimination Chamber Match To Determine The #1 Contender For The Universal Championship
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman vs. The Miz vs. Elias vs. John Cena vs. Finn Bálor
So, the Universal Championship match went just as just everyone predicted. Brock Lesnar retained by pinning Kane, while Braun Strowman still looked strong. So, don’t expect Brock Lesnar or the Universal Championship to show up on a PPV until WrestleMania.
So, what will fill in that main event spot? Well, we’ll have an Elimination Chamber match to decide who will go on to face Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania, and yes, the winner will probably be Roman Reigns. *sigh*
As I just mentioned, the match will contain Roman Reigns because, well, it’s Roman Reigns. It should also sport the current Intercontinental Championship and Roman’s rival at the moment, The Miz.
Then, the match will have to have Braun Strowman. After not getting pinned by Lesnar, he will probably demand another opportunity at the belt. I can only imagine the kind of destruction that Braun is going to do inside the Elimination Chamber.
John Cena is being advertised for this PPV, so I’m assuming he and his new rival, Elias, will be in the match, too. Cena being in this match should be a no brainer, but Elias is an odd but deserving pick. He has been the most entertaining part of Raw every week and has earned this spot.
Lastly, there is Finn Bálor. Finn is starting to see a push back to the main event scene after reforming The Bálor Club as shown by his impressive performance in the Royal Rumble match. So, these six Superstars (I’d throw in Samoa Joe, too, if he wasn’t hurt) are who I’m picking to fight to face Brock at WrestleMania.
Who will it be? Probably Roman. But, it should still be a good match, and Elimination Chamber could be a great PPV for Raw as we head closer to WrestleMania 34.
