Impact Wrestling Looks to Start Fresh After Genesis

Impact Wrestling this week was the show after a very good Genesis broadcast last week.  Josh Matthews and Jeremy Borash left the broadcast last week with a teaser about changes this week in Impact.  The most visual change was going back to the four sided ring.  This change, that fans hadn’t seen since 2013, was one that definitely had the fans talking.

The Grand Champion Matt Sydal began the show with his first title defense.  Sydal defeated Ethan Carter III a week ago to become the new Grand Champion.  This was no return match for EC3 but instead Fallah Bahh’s opportunity to challenge for the title once again.  Matt Sydal would also give some new rules for the once MMA style title.

It looked like American Top Team could finally what KM needs to get over the hump. Instead, ATT has done nothing for KM but he does have a chance to prove himself against Lashley.  Lashley cut ties with Dan Lambert and American Top Team last week and KM wants revenge.  Can KM finally show signs of life against Walking Armageddon?

The main event featured a celebration of Eli Drake’s time as Impact Wrestling’s Grand Champion.  It showed some of his finest moments as the top guy in Impact.  Chris Adonis hosted the celebration but would soon be surprised by a returning Impact World Champion.
