WWE Raw: Who Will Win the Second Chance Fatal 4-Way?
It was announced that next week on WWE Raw, we will be seeing a Fatal 4-Way match to determine the last spot in this year’s Elimination Chamber. The winner of this match will be joining Elias, John Cena, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, and The Miz with the winner facing off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34 for the Universal Championship.
The participants in this Fatal 4-Way will be Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, Apollo Crews, and Finn Balor.
Each of the four participants in this match lost their previous opportunity to qualify for the Elimination Chamber, so this is their chance for redemption. My question is, who’s winning this thing?
When looking at this match, the first thing that stands out is the inclusion of Bray Wyatt & “WOKEN” Matt Hardy.
This feud has been underwhelming up to this point, to say the least.
I think common logic would state that neither Hardy nor Wyatt is winning this match because their personal issues have not been resolved. I expect Wyatt vs. Hardy to be included as a singles match on this PPV and it really wouldn’t make any sense to have either included in the Elimination Chamber.
To take a phrase from the former 4-time WWE tag team champions, The New Day, the Wyatt vs. Hardy feud has been “booty”. I’m hoping that recent WWE signing, Jeremy Borash can help turn this thing around because he was able to work magic with Hardy over in Impact Wrestling.
At this point, I think fans would reject the idea of either of these guys winning as neither can currently be seen as a legitimate threat to win the Chamber. Even if one of these men do somehow make it into the Chamber match I fully expect the other to get involved which would lead to their elimination. To make this short… Hardy vs. Wyatt isn’t over and neither are getting anywhere near the Universal Title anytime soon.

Next there’s Apollo Crews who had a respectable showing this past Monday in a losing effort against The Miz.
I think it would be a cool swerve and a huge moment for Apollo’s career if he were to win this match. Obviously, if he were to be included in the Chamber I don’t think there’s a chance in hell that he’d win the match. But him being in the ring with the top superstars of the Raw brand would be a major rub for Apollo and could help springboard him up the card in the process.
Crews has been stagnant since being called up from NXT but has shown major potential. A win here for Crews could also help legitimize Titus Worldwide because the stable has been a bit of a flop as well, in my opinion.
The knock on Apollo has always been that while he’s solid in the ring, there’s something missing that’s prevented him from connecting with the crowd. A win in this Fatal 4-Way and a decent showing in the Elimination Chamber match could help Crews connect better with the crowd as an athletic underdog that’s doing everything he can to take advantage of his unlikely opportunity to become number 1 contender to the Universal Championship.
The most obvious choice, and my personal pick to win and enter the Chamber is Finn Balor.

I’ll be honest… the second that Finn Balor lost his qualifying match to John Cena, I said that Balor would still be a part of the match.
I believe that because there’s literally nothing else WWE can do with Finn right now. Basically, he either needed to be involved in the Elimination Chamber match or he wouldn’t be featured on the show at all.
I know there are a lot of fans that have bought into the idea that Vince McMahon and the “Powers That Be” don’t see Finn as a draw and don’t think that he’s over enough with the crowd but I think that’s all nonsense. I think WWE brass (especially Triple H) knows exactly what they have with Balor and are just trying to work him in the best way that they can with the cards that they’ve been dealt.
Finn is obviously heading in the right direction now that he’s reunited with his former Bullet Club good brothers, Gallows & Anderson. That pairing alone shows me that WWE is listening to the fans and trying to give them what they want while also pushing Finn back up toward the main event of the card.
We all know that Finn was the first ever Universal Champion but not enough has been said about him getting a chance to reclaim the title that he never lost due to injury. The issue for Finn has been that after his injury, the landscape of Raw completely changed. With Brock as a dominant champion, WWE needs to slowly build Finn up to a level that makes him look credible as a legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar. Having Finn win the Elimination Chamber would be a major credibility boost.

At the end of the day, I don’t think it really matters who wins this Second Chance Fatal 4-Way because ultimately Roman Reigns will win the Elimination Chamber match and go on to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania. I fully expect Roman to defeat Brock to close the show as well.
