2. Elias pins John Cena

The main event of Monday night Raw saw John Cena, Elias and Braun Strowman go to war. The winner would have the advantage going into the Elimination Chamber match as he would be the last person to be released into the carnival of chaos known as Elimination Chamber. As five men have battered and bruised each other, the winner of this match will enter the match and can pick up on the remains of the fallen warriors.

Both Cena and Strowman were heavy favorites going into this match. We all knew the WWE was well behind Elias. After all, he has come on top of Cena more than once when the latter tried to interrupt his performance. However, nobody expected the Drifter to outlast the Monster Among Men. But as the action unfolded, it was Elias who took a page out of Edge’s playbook and grabbed the ultimate opportunity in front of him.

Just as Strowman had finished off Super Cena, Elias came out of nowhere to pin the sixteen-time World champion. He will now head into the Chamber with clear motivation and an even clearer advantage. However, we still don’t know if this will mean anything in the long run. If anything, this might just be a way to feed Elias to Roman Reigns for all we know. But for the time being, let the Drifter enjoy his time under the spot light.
