5. What will Ronda Rousey’s role at Elimination Chamber be?

As announced by Raw GM Kurt Angle this week, Ronda Rousey will officially sign her contract at Elimination Chamber. It will be safe to assume she will be a part of Raw going forward. However, that is the least significant question at the moment. What will her presence at the PPV mean in the larger scheme of things?

Will we get any indications as to what the WrestleMania plans are for the first ever UFC Bantam weight champion? Fans have been speculating matches and opponents for her, ranging from Stephanie McMahon to Asuka. Both these women will be present at the scene come February 25. Will Rousey follow-up on her interaction with Stephanie from two years back? Or will she follow-up on her most recent run-in with Asuka after the latter had just won the Royal Rumble?

It could also be possible that one or more of the superstars in the women’s division might show up to interrupt Rousey. However, given that half of the roster is already a part of the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match and two other formidable foes in the name of Asuka and Nia Jax are set to tear the house down, odds of someone crossing paths with Ronda at the PPV are slim. Except for Stephanie McMahon or any SmackDown superstar who wants to make a statement based on a backstage interaction during the Mae Yong Classics.

Yeah am looking at you Charlotte. The Blue Brand’s Women’s champion doesn’t really have a challenger at the moment. Though there have been speculations about Asuka opting to face Charlotte instead of Alexa Bliss, I am more inclined towards Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair personally.

Whatever the case may be, there is considerable intrigue surrounding Rousey’s contract signing. Whether it leads to some angle or a match remains to be seen. For all we know, it could merely end up as an overly long segment to cool off the live crowd.
