Sami Callihan Makes His Impact Singles Debut

Sami Callihan has been in Impact Wrestling for months and has even had a few matches.  The matches he has been in however have been in tandem with the rest of Ohio Versus Everything.  Last week, OVE attacked Lashley and took him hostage.  Although, we may not know what happend to Lashley, he does want to get his hands on Sami Callihan.  Lashley and Callihan battle for the first time in their respective careers.

Lashley comes into this match with a lot of anger as he takes control early.  He was aggressive from the very beginning but it’s the numbers of OVE that allows Callihan to fight back into it.  Callihan is looking to make a name for himself once again in Impact Wrestling by going after a multiple time World Champion.  The vocal leader of OVE kept this fight on the outside of the ring as this is where he garnered much of his control.  A loogie chop defines just how bizarre Callihan can be.

Callihan is quite the showman and a trip around the ring left him met with a spear.  The match finally goes back into the ring but Sami holds his own.  Can Callihan deal with both the strength and athleticism of Lashley?  He has shown he knows Lashley’s gameplan much more evident when Lashley was caught into a guillotine.  It wasn’t just the submission abilities, we also saw the power of Callihan in this match.  As Lashley looks to end it with a spear, it turns into a beat down by the OVE.  Eddie Edwards would come to his rescue which could set up some future encounters.
