The Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble for the Universal Title was a brutal affair for the three men involved. However it ended with Brock Lesnar getting the pin over Kane to retain his title. After the match though, Braun Strowman yelled at Lesnar that he didn’t beat him.

If we ignore the fact that Brock Lesnar has already beaten Braun Strowman, albeit when he was a heel and a slightly different and less built-up character with much less momentum behind him then. This clearly builds up towards a rematch between the two, with the clear storyline being that Lesnar wasn’t able to put Strowman away at the Royal Rumble.

This makes significantly more sense than Roman Reigns winning the Elimination Chamber and challenging Brock Lesnar just because. It almost makes even more sense for Strowman to prove that Lesnar can’t beat him at ‘Mania, rather than fighting The Miz, as has been reported online.

Plus there seems to be some legitimate bad blood between the two with Braun Strowman hitting Brock Lesnar with a stiff knee during the Rumble match. Brock Lesnar then retaliated with a stiff punch and told Braun to slow down.

Basically there’s clear unfinished business between Strowman and Lesnar that needs a pay-off on the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All.’
