1. AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin

A feud that took place a few months ago saw a brief reunion last night, but this time for a different reason.  AJ Styles and Baron Corbin briefly battled for the United States Championship a few months ago, but now they are both involved in the WWE Championship match at Fastlane.

Following last night’s opening segment, Shane McMahon made two matches featuring four of the five superstars in the Fatal 5-Way at Fastlane.  One of those matches being Styles vs. Corbin in last night’s main event while the other was Kevin Owens battling Dolph Ziggler, which went in the favor of KO thanks to Sami Zayn.

Styles and Corbin had a couple impressive matches when the U.S. Championship was at stake, and last night was no different.  The two put on another stellar match with Corbin looking solid again as he did the week before against Owens.  But in the end, The Phenomenal One overcame The Lone Wolf to get the win before being attacked by Owens and Zayn after the match.

Styles can probably have a good match with any wrestler in the world, but Corbin has been improving as of late and should be commended for it.  Fastlane’s main event should give Corbin another chance to shine as well with four other elite superstars in the ring with him.
