WWE Rumors: AJ Styles To Move To Raw After WrestleMania 34?

According to the latest WWE rumors, AJ Styles could be on his way to Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania 34.

Last year at TLC, Finn Balor was supposed to feud with Bray Wyatt, but a viral illness prevented the “Eater of Worlds” from competing. WWE needed to find a replacement in a pinch, and who better than AJ Styles? Balor won the match as the “Demon King” in the battle of Bullet Club leaders, and the bout was one of the main roster’s best of the year. On the Raw following TLC, Styles made a surprise appearance to a huge pop, teaming up with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins against The Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro.

Fans have been speculating if Styles could move to WWE’s flagship show, and the speculation has only increased after Styles remained with SmackDown Live during the “Superstar Shakeup”. According to Cageside Seats’s Rumor Roundup, there has been a “lot of speculation” that Styles could jump to Raw after WrestleMania 34, which would allow the Phenomenal One to have a fresh slate of matchups after being on SmackDown for so long.

It would be bittersweet to see Styles move from SmackDown to Raw. After all, SmackDown Live is the “House That AJ Styles Built”, and his first run as WWE Champion on the show helped make the “Blue Brand” must-see TV each week. Styles’s feuds with Dean Ambrose and John Cena were huge highlights.

In his second run as WWE Champion, Styles has been somewhat dragged down by the storyline involving Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Shane McMahon, and Daniel Bryan. However, he dazzled fans by putting on solid matches with Jinder Mahal, consistently performed at a high level in matches with Owens and Zayn, and figures to have a huge WWE Championship title defense at WrestleMania against 2018 Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura.

So it would be tough to see Styles leave a brand he helped rebuild. But on the other hand, seeing him on Raw would be incredible. He could renew a rivalry with Roman Reigns, battle Seth Rollins in an absolute dream match, or even work with Finn Balor.

Everything Styles has touched in WWE has been captivating, and Raw garners the company’s biggest audience. As one of the top stars on Raw, Styles would undoubtedly flourish and give the fans memorable moments on what has admittedly been the WWE’s better-written main roster product since the Superstar Shakeup.
