#2 – They’ve Teased It For Over A Year

Back before Talking Smack (SmackDown Live’s short-lived post-game show) was abruptly taken off the air, the Miz and Daniel Bryan were responsible for the program’s most memorable moment. During what seemed like a run-of-the-mill panel discussion, tension between the two escalated quickly. The end result was Miz unleashing a verbal tirade on the SmackDown GM. The pseudo-shoot promo had the internet buzzing, and a YouTube video of the segment quickly amassed over 2 million views.

The teasing of of a Bryan/Miz match did not end following the Talking Smack verbal SmackDown. The Miz continued chiding Bryan, even from inside the ring. He started using Bryan’s “Yes Kicks”, but rechristened them the “It Kicks”. One wouldn’t be surprised if the A-Lister decided to start using a cross face submission. Perhaps he could name it the “Miz Lock”.

More recently, these two heated rivals crossed paths at Raw 25 in January. Bryan was out to greet the capacity crowd at the Barclay’s Center, when Miz, who was scheduled to compete in the next match, interrupted the festivities with his entrance. The two shared a brief but intense staredown on the ramp way, signifying that the feud was going to continue throughout 2018.

In this day-and-age in professional wrestling, the continuity exhibited by the Miz/Bryan feud is unheard of. And it would make a WrestleMania match between the two extremely meaningful.
