#1 – Miz’s Safe Style Decreases Bryan’s Risk of Re-Injury

The fact remains that this exercise in fantasy booking Daniel Bryan’s return stems from him not competing due to injury. Shortly after his crowning achievement at WrestleMania 30, Bryan was sidelined with a major neck issue, and had to relinquish the WWE World Title.

Following months of recovery, Bryan returned to the ring in early 2015. Alas, his comeback was not to be. For the second year in a row, Bryan would be forced to vacate gold won at WrestleMania due to injury. This time, however, it appeared that his wrestling days were behind him for good.

One of Bryan’s final marquee matches before retiring from active competition was a seven-man ladder match. While there’s no way to know how much this match contributed to Bryan’s supposed career-ending injury, it does not seem beyond the realm of possibility to suggest it likely played a part.
