Neville

Neville is an example of a wrestler with loads of talent that walked away from the organization due to a variety of disagreements. When directed to “lose clean” to a rising Enzo A’more, Neville decided it was in his best interests to walk away from the show. As a two-time WWE Cruiserweight champion, Neville saw that his character’s stock was on a downward spiral and it was time to walk away. While he hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since October 2017, he hasn’t been released from the company.

Neville has stock not only on the show 205 Live, but on the main roster as well. Yes, he could be paired against the likes of Cedric Alexander, Roderick Strong, Hideo Itami, Mustafa Ali and others for great programs and even better matches. But he could be added to the main roster to compete as either a singles or tag team wrestler. Imagine another series of one on one matches against AJ Styles, Seth Rollins or Finn Balor – all three of which he’s competed against in one off matches that were exciting to watch. He could even fit in as a tag team wrestler and develop him into a viable singles star at the same time.

Neville could even go back to the NXT roster. As a former champion he has a strong following on that brand and is a credible opponent for any wrestler. Imagine Neville in matches against the likes of Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream or even challenging Pete Dunne for the UK title. That pairing has the potential to match anything that both wrestlers have done in the WWE at this point.

Even though he never officially “left” the promotion, there is a lot of value available in the return of Neville. He’s a young competitor that has many different traits of a championship draw. The WWE sees this, which is why they never let him fully leave the company in the first place.
