2. The New Day And The Usos Segment

Arguably the best rivalry in the WWE in 2017 was The Usos and The New Day battling it out for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  The rivalry appeared to meet its end at Hell in a Cell in October, but it has more to give on the road to WrestleMania.

The Usos will defend their tag team titles against The New Day at Fastlane, but Tuesday night’s encounter was particularly important to refuel the fire of this outstanding feud.  The New Day went out to the ring to cut a New Day-like promo, but it would soon take a much different feel thanks to The Usos.

Jimmy and Jey came out to address The New Day before cutting an awesome promo which saw them get very intense in regards to their feud with Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods.  They threw out a lot of statements at The New Day, but the typically laid-back Big E wouldn’t go down without a verbal fight of his own.

Big E fired right back at Jimmy and Jey and showed a much more intense side of his character as well as the overall gimmick of The New Day.  Both teams would eventually be interrupted and ran off by The Bludgeon Brothers, but both of their promos were outstanding and kicks this rivalry back into high gear as Fastlane approaches.

The New Day and The Usos put on another fantastic verbal segment last night despite The New Day’s beginning segment starting out a little bit slow without Jimmy and Jey in the picture.

Final Grade: A-
