WWE WrestleMania 34: 4 Better Opponents than Undertaker for John Cena

4. Batista
Dave Bautista, better known to us wrestling marks as Batista, has expressed interest to return to the WWE for one more run. To be frank, in this gentleman’s mind, returning for WrestleMania would be a perfect fit.
You all know how Vince McMahon loves to connect his product to other realms of entertainment. Batista’s legitimate Hollywood glow would help carry this match into the all-important “attraction” territory, which is essentially what Cena basically wants. Not to mention it would generate some of that sweet, sweet mainstream coverage that WWE loves to inject into its hungry, hungry veins.
The situation would be much more favorable now compared to his last attempted from a couple of years ago when he was caught in the middle of some poor booking decisions in the midst of Daniel Bryan’s fan-backed rise to the World Title scene. The landscape is much more open today and, I would argue, favorable to a former wrestler-turned-movie-star to have one more shot in the ring. Especially when the aforementioned movie star is a shining piece in one of Marvel’s best (the best?) properties in their cinematic universe.
Hell, I’d go as far as to say people would even be excited to see him back in his blue gear.
Would he still be able to “go” in the ring? Batista is smart enough to know that stepping back into WWE without being ready first would be harmful to him. So if he were to come back, you can definitely expect the ring rust to be off. Besides, Cena knows how to play off the other man’s strengths and both could unquestionably work a great, solid match together.
