1. Goldberg

Okay, so let’s start up with the same premise as I did with Chris Jericho: Cena is cutting a promo in the ring at the SmackDown after Fastlane, he’s complaining, he lost, he failed, yadda yadda.

Then, suddenly, Goldberg’s music hits. The place explodes. Out walks the man himself, dressed in civilian clothes. He looks briefly around at the arena, creaks his neck and walks down, his gaze focused, a small smirk peeking through the goatee.

Goldberg enters the ring as John stares him down intently. The music stops and both men stare at each other from across the ring as the roars of the crowd carry the moment. Goldberg points at Cena’s microphone who acquiesces and hands it to the WCW legend.

”You want a match at Wrestle Mania?” asks Goldberg. ”I’ll give you your match. Because YOU’RE NEXT!”

Goldberg drops the mic, his music hits, he walks out of the ring leaving Cena alone. And the crowd goes absolutely bananas.

Whoo, I got shivers just writing that.

Now yes, Cena and Goldberg have fought before, so it’s not exactly new. But if you were to take a page out of how Goldberg’s last WWE run was booked, it could be a lot more exciting. The match has to be booked as an attraction, so it doesn’t have to be a 20-minute classic. Plus, if Cena ”heels it up” like he did against Seth Rollins at the gauntlet match a couple of weeks ago, then the match plays into John’s strengths while covering Goldberg’s weaknesses.
